Located in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, our goal here at Ruffwater is to produce structurally sound puppies with the true golden temperament. We are active in the show world through conformation while also training and performing in obedience and agility.

Golden Retrievers have been my passion for as long as I can remember. When I was about 10 years old, I started saving for my first puppy. Life had other plans, and it wasn’t until I was twenty-one that I finally brought home my first Golden - Murphy. 

I can honestly say that Murphy was the best dog ever. He did everything I asked and always had a smile on his face while doing it. He was the one who introduced me to the world of dog shows. At just seven months old, Murphy earned his CD, passing in three straight passes. We were a great team, though he was often better than I was. No matter what I asked of him, he always gave it his all. 

It is because of Murphy that I know I will always have a Golden Retriever as part of my family.
